With historical fame for being one of the 20 richest villages during the 15th-16 th century; whilst dominating the wool trade with its “Blue Broad” cloth, a unique plethora of beautifully preserved timber framed medieval buildings, lavishly constructed 15 th century church, guildhall and circular walk - makes Lavenham a village not to be missed during your Suffolk travels.

For those looking for a bit of pop culture the beautiful market square has been the film set for movies from Vincent Prices “Witchfinder General” to John Lennon & Yoko Ono's “Apotheosis” and more recently scenes from Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows was also filmed on secret location in Lavenham. Spot them if you can!

Weave your way through the streets of Lavenham and you will discover an array of art galleries, clothing boutiques and craft shops cleverly punctuated with coffee shops for that ultimate rest of the feet. Don't miss the popular Farmers Market held every 4 th Sunday at the beautifully designed and constructed village hall.
